Family Advocate

The Family Advocate is the lead person in the Family Engagement process. Has primary responsibility for recruitment and enrollment. Promote family wellness and ensure parent involvement. Operate as a liaison between classroom, parent, and child in the areas of education, child development, and mental health. Provide community resources and collaborations, support individual family service delivery, inclusive of monitoring and reporting. Adhere to The Leaguers code of conduct and Ethics Statement written within the employee handbook.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Able to handle sensitive family situations in a non-threatening and professional manner.
• Knowledge of early childhood education and intervention.
• Flexible schedule to accommodate family needs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Intermediate computer skills, internet, and e-mail.
• CPR & First Aid Certified (training provided).
