WHEN MEN LEAD, CHILDREN SEE WHAT IS POSSIBLE

NEWARK, NJ , September 17, 2026, Today, Leaguers, Inc. brought fathers and male role models together at 101–103 Arlington Street in Newark for “Dad, Take Your Child to School,” an initiative designed to encourage greater male involvement in the education and development of children.

The initiative welcomed more than just fathers. Brothers, uncles, grandfathers, family members, and friends all took part, demonstrating that supporting a child’s education is a shared responsibility.

Men walked children to school, greeted families, and helped create a positive and welcoming start to the school day. Their presence demonstrated the importance of having positive male role models actively involved in children’s lives.

The initiative sent a simple but powerful message to every child:

“We are here for you. We believe in you. Your education matters.”

For Leaguers, Inc., male involvement is an important part of building strong family engagement and creating supportive environments where children can learn, grow, and thrive.

Today’s event also provided an opportunity for fathers and other male role models to connect with children, families, and the Leaguers community. By showing up, participating, and encouraging children, these men demonstrated that involvement does not always require a major commitment, it can begin with something as simple and meaningful as walking a child to school.
